Klemid's Accelerator for Microsoft Outlook is an add-in for Microsoft Outlook, which saves a lot of mouse clicks in your daily work with Micosoft Outlook. For example, you can send a message without saving it to the Sent Items folder with one click. You can achieve this using the Options dialog but with 4 clicks. 4 sound not much too but but it is too annoying to use it frequently. In consequence your Sent Items folder grows and grows.

Most functions add another button to the toolbar of the Outlook editor windows, for instance the message editor. All functions within Klemid's Accelerator can be switched on and off individually thus consuming as less space as possible in these Outlook toolbars. In Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 those buttons reside within the "Accelerator" tab of the ribbon.

The available functions are:

• Google-like undo of sent messages
  You can choose to send all types of messages (including meeting, requests, task requests, etc) with a 2 minute delay. This gives you the chance to cancel the send or modify the message and send it out again. When you choose this option Accelerator adds the "Send Immediately" checkbox to the accelerator menu which enforces immediate send in urgent cases. In case you want to cancel the send you can use the "Undo" button in the Accelerator menu or simply go to the outbox and open the message.
• Button to send a mail delayed
  This button is added to Mail editor's toolbar or ribbon. It sends a mail with a 2 minute delay. Within these 2 minutes you can use the "Undo" button in the Accelerator menu to withdraw the mail or simply go to the outbox and open the message. This option applies only to mail but not to meeting requests and other messages.
• Ensure mail to external recipients includes a signature
  Many companies require a signature for mail to external recipients. With this option switched on Accelerator gives you a warning if no such signature is included in the mail you are about to send. You can, however, ignore and send them mail without signature anyway.
• Send/Delete button in the send window
  This button sends a mail without filing it into the Sent Items folder. Although this option is also available thru an Outlook option it is much faster and more convenient to use this button.
• Send/Strip button in the send window
  This button strips of attachments after filing the message into the Sent Items folder. This saves space in your inbox.
• "Save to" combo box in the send window
  This combo box makes is very easy to choose the folder where to file the message after sending. Doing this the standard way thru the Options dialog is very cumbersome. You can easily configure your favorite folders appearing in the drop-down list.
• Schedule Out-of-Office reply
  Be honest: How often did you forget to enter an out of office reply. This functions allows to schedule the out-of-office reply right when you create your absence appointment You only need to mark the appointment as "Out of Office" and enter a text with prefix "OOF:" into the body. The appointments subject is not affected and can be chosen as usual. At midnight and when Outlook is restarted Accelerator checks whether such an appointment is created for the upcoming working day (Saturday and Sunday are ignored) and enters the text following the "OOF:" as the Out-of-Office reply. Prerequisite is that your computer and your Outlook is running at this time. For notebook users, who typically switch of their PCs, Accelerator checks if such an appointment is scheduled for the following day the asks you whether to set the OOF now.
  Within the out of office text you can use the following variables:
  

  %enddate%:	the end date of the appointment
  %enddate+1%:	the day following the end date
  %signature:signature name>%:	is replaced by the text of an existing Outlook signature

• Accelerator toolbar
  Accelerator now has got its own toolbar item in Outlook's main window which includes the Undo button mentioned above and a button to invoke the Options dialog.
• Outlook Options Dialog
  Accelerator extends Outlook's Options dialog by an "Accelerator" tab where you can find the options described above and switch them on or off.

Klemid's Accelerator runs on Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, and 2010.

Klemid's Accelerator can be installed using this link. At first a small bootstrap program is downloaded which itself downloads the actual installation file from the Net. When your browser's security settings do not allow the direct execution of this bootstrap program save the program to your hard disk first and start it from there. When you repeat the installation later on, the Accelerator is automatically updated to the newest version in the Net.

After installation all functions are at first inactive. You should firstly go to Outlook's Options dialog, choose the "Accelerator" tab and activate the functions you want to use. After restart Outlook the new functions are available in the send mail window.

After the installation Accelerator firstly runs in the unlicensed mode. All functions are fully operational but when from time to time you receive a popup reminding for licensing. Accelerator is licensed for a particular e-mail address. When you use different e-mail address you need a license for each one. You can buy a license as Share*it!.
Accelerator also supports company licenses based on an e-mail domain. The price is determined individually. If you are interested in this an e-mail to accelerator@klemid.de.

• The user interface is provided in English only.
• Word as e-Mail editor is currently not supported. This applies to the functions Send/Delete, Send/Strip and "Save to".
• The Send/Strip-Button is without function when the message is digitally signed. The reason is that the signature includes the attachment. Without the attachment the message can no longer be opened.
• Before installing version 1.1.5 you need to deinstall the previous version
